Hello and welcome to you all this Fall Semester of 2009! Wednesday, August 26, marks the first day of classes at UMM. It is good to see the campus and the town full of young adults again.
Over a year ago, I had great plans and high hopes for how this blog would be used. I started composing then changed my mind. The empty blog became something of a joke, and a bit of an embarrassment. "For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven," may be the biblical excuse I need for holding off until now.

I have asked some of our graduates and present LCMers to reflect on their lives, share memories of LCM-UMM and, perhaps, tell how their faith is lived out in their daily lives. God moments. God surprises. Good "Things of God" to share with us!

Blessings on your days, Friends of LCM-UMM!--"PK" (Pr. Kristine Braaten-Lee) Campus Pastor

Dear LCMers,
I have lots of news to share with you since I graduated in May of 2008. I have moved to Pullman Washington to go to Vet school at Washington State University. I am looking forward to starting school but hated saying goodbye to my family and friends. I will miss Minnesota and its people so very much.

Pullman WA is on the Eastern side of the state, south of Spokane. It looks a lot like Morris Mn, but with hills. It is a really cute town and people have been very nice. I did get a kitten to take with me to Washington for company. I named him Morris.

I am sure this is a super busy time of year for you with school starting just around the corner. I hope you had a good year with campus ministries last year and that this year will be even better. I look forward to hearing how it is going. For those of you who are new to LCM I recommend making the most of it. Some of my best friends and memories are LCM people and moments. Best of luck with the coming year.
God's Blessing

Love, Erica (Dolven-Kolle)
